I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, relationship issues, parenting stressors, post-partum depression, issues of gender and sexuality, and helping people with life transitions including those related to aging parents. I also have significant experience helping patients and family members adjust to life with chronic medical conditions and coping with illnesses. Additionally, I enjoy working with introverted clients as well as those who are Highly Sensitive, or particularly attuned to their environment, and helping both groups to recognize their inherent strengths. I am certified to work with Highly Sensitive clients. To learn more about the Highly Sensitive Personality, go to www.hsperson.com. Lastly, I work well with young adults and adults who have high functioning autism (formerly known as Aspergers).
Whichever of these is your most significant struggle, I will work in partnership with you to determine how you will most benefit from therapy, whether that is understanding the source of your anxiety, gaining insight into patterns in your relationships, working through difficult life transitions, or increasing understanding of yourself and your strengths.
